Question What is the problem to load page ?

    Hi every one,

i recently got BSNL BB 750UL plan, speed is also nice but when i open any page in browser it stops loading and says "cannot find server" but when i click on REPAIR in lan tray icon by right clicking i got that page with in 5 - 15 seconds. Why this happening i can not click every time on REPAIR button, what is the problem ?

i am using: Fire Fox v2.0.0.16.
    running: win XP pro.
    modem: ZTE ZXDSL 831AII ADSL

    Thanks in advanced.

There is no problem with the BSNL connection.

Maybe you are using USB and the drivers are not up to date. Try switching to LAN.

Your original post did not mention USB. But anyway, the problem may be with the LAN drivers.

If problem persists, complain to BSNL for replacement of modem.

ya you can try to load your lan drivers coz this problem looks like system limited and if it works after repair then your some files are corrupt... better idea is to reinstall lan drivers..

when i click on use the following ip address
it altomatically blocks the "Obtain DNS server adress automatically".

and i think this is by default in all windows, specially in xp.

Entered the open dns address nothing new same problem,

and you have done some little mistake

    OPEN DNS ADDRESS ARE:
    208.67.222.222
    208.68.220.220

    NOT
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

    and i also tried :taz:

    BSNL's new DNS
    218.248.240.208
    218.248.240.135

    &
    ScrubIt DNS
    67.138.54.100
    207.225.209.66

    But the problem is present.

wel its definately not a DNS problem,
    try these
    1.completely delete ur browser cache
    2.uninsatall and re install browser
3.run a virus scan with updated av
    4. try some other browser
5.check if you can use other internet utilities

yes some time this is occurred by that DNS adress .try automatic configuration....and just do desk clean up also..........

what about in the internet explorer......

i think this is not a problem of BSNL and your modem....your system configuration went wrong.....

try these steps......mentioned in the previous post
    1.completely delete ur browser cache
    2.uninsatall and re install browser
3.run a virus scan with updated av
    4. try some other browser
5.check if you can use other internet utilities

    1. completely deleted my browser cache - problem is present.

    2. uninstalled and re installed browser (firefox) - problem is present.

    3. Completed full virus scan with McAfee with updated virus defination - problem is present.

    4. tried other browsers (safari, internet explorer, etc) - problem is present.

    5. check if you can use other internet utilities - which utilities ? i don't know more about any utility.

you are using pppoe mode for modem(in which you get connected by just turning on the modem).try lowering MTU values(usually under LAN settings in modem)from default 1492/1500 to 1460 or 1452.you can try values in between too.

i changed my MTU to 1460 from 1500, after doing this i got download
speed up to 65kbps & my problem is solved but i got new problem.

when it connects (yello light stops blinking) then after 5 to 10 minuts it
get the internet's green light & stops blinking and then after 5 to 10 minuits
i get that green internet's light blinking then i can surf or download the files
then within 5 to 10 minuts it disconnects the internet and again connects
    (same procedure from start). :19:

In short it takes 22 to 25 minuts to connect net
and after connecting the net i got disconnected within 5 to 10 minuts.

And i also tried 1452 but it dosent work because it nither connects the net
nor opens the page & also can't downloads any files.

    please help.

i changed the MTU back to 1500 & its normal now but again got the same problem.
i have to repair the connection in every 5 minuts.

try MTU value 1492 & check that in your DSL line status mode is showing as G.dmt not ADSL2+.
