Thread: pppoe mode in ubuntu

i have ut300r2u modem 500c plan. whenever i change from pppoe mode to bridge mode it works in windows. but in ubuntu when i change from bridge mode to pppoe mode it doesn't work. i follow superprash blog to change the modes back and forth.
when i change from pppoe to bridge it works but when i change back to pppoe mode it doesn't work.
if i change at 7 am in morning and try it it doesn't work. but when i return from college at 3 pm and switch on the pc and modem it works. i don't understand why?
more mystry is that deluge torrent works but firefox and ubuntu update doesn't work at 7 am? here's my network settings in ubuntu for pppoe mode.
(connections tab)roaming mode enabled
(dns tab)dns servers 192.168.1.1
same settings don't work at 7 am(when i switched from bridge to pppoe). but it works at 3 pm why?

Have u enabled the DHCP option in networks tab

Do you pppoeconf when you are in bridge mode?

If not, you cannot expect it to work.
