    Default Connectivity Problems

    Hi!

I recently got the BSNL Home 750 UL + Plan. I have the UltraCom Wireless Modem.

On my desktop, I am connecting via the ethernet cable.

Sometimes, the connectivity suddenly goes off and I am not able to load any websites.

Is it something to do with the IP Settings? At the moment it is on automatic ip settings detection, should I manually enter the IP settings?

Or is it due to any other reasons? Has any of you faced similar problems?

LINK led must glow steady/continuously for connection.open your modem settings page(type 192.168.1.1 in your browser & enter username/password as admin/admin).in status/overview tab look for SNR & Line Attn values.if SNR values are less than 10 then there is problem in your line & you need to get it checked by bsnl.also make sure that line coming into house directly goes into splitter & no phone is connected to line before splitter.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

    Thanks for your reply.

There was a phone connected to the splitter. I have removed it now. Lets see how it goes. Will get back to you.

    Thanks for your help!

    --------------------------------------------------------------

My SNR values are 12.5 downstream and 6.0 upstream.

    Attenuation- 32.0 Downstream & 12.6 Upstream

Are these values normal or do I need to get the line checked?
