Talking 2 MBPS Super Speed, BSNL is all you need! (lol)

    Hello guys!

Did you all see their ad?? Lol, it says it's 2 MBPS..That means you can download at 2 MBps..!! Crap, do they even know what is 2 MBPS and 2 Mbps? I can't figure out since when and how is "2 Mbps" Super Speed anyway? I think that tag belongs to 8 Mbps unlimited for around 1500 a month..! Lol..! I'm again gone in dreams..

2Mbps is super speed in the way that they are the only ISP providing such speeds to home users at reasonable rates.

i don't know any plan with 2mbps speeds from reliance/airtel with download limit more than 1-2GB per month.BSNL is the only ISP which gives 2-8AM(6 hours)free downloading with 2mbps plans.what good is a 2mbps plan with a 2GB limit per month?i know airtel also provides 8mbps plans but then again with a limit of 1GB i think.on a 8mbps plan you can download 1GB in 18 minutes.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Have a look here {Data Transfer Plans (Pay per MB)}:
:: Welcome to Reliance Broadband ::

It's just slightly costlier than BSNL!

what are you talking about?reliance plans are almost similar to bsnl but reliance don't give any free night time downloading which makes all the difference.1 can download easily ~4.5GB per day from 2-8AM & in 1 month 135GB free of cost.if you have to pay Rs 0.90 per MB as in Reliance plan you have to spend Rs.124416 to download 135GB!!

    @smartflight,

Please compare carefully. For example, let us consider the Combo plans from BSNL, Airtel and Reliance.

BSNL Home 500 C: At Rs. 500 per month, you get 1.5 GB usage limit, 80p/MB for excess usage, 256 kbps ~ 2 mbps speed, free landline (no rent), 175 free calls and 2 AM to 8 AM as happy hours (free unlimited usage).

The closest plan from Airtel is Combo 499: At Rs. 499 per month, you get 1GB (0.5 GB less) usage limit, 80p/MB for excess usage, 256 kbps ~ 2 mbps speed, free landline (no rent), Rs. 200 worth free calls (more) and no free (happy) hours.

Reliance closest plan is Plan 349: At Rs. 349 per month (save Rs. 150), you get 1 GB (0.5 GB less) usage limit, Re.1.10 MB for excess usage (30p more), 256 kbps ~ 2 mbps speed, free landline (no rent), Rs. 50 worth free calls (again less) and no free (happy) hours.

The free hours makes all the difference, my friend. Many people use this time effectively to download huge stuff. At full potential (256 KB/s or 2 mbps), you can download as much as 5400 MB. OK. Take it with a pinch of salt. Even at 100 KB/s on an average you will be able to download 2100+ MB. And all for free. Can you beat that?

Another thing. You are lucky if Airtel or Reliance are in your area - then only you will get a connection. Many people ask for the connection only to be told that they cannot give the connection. Of course BSNL is no angel in this respect but at least you always have a chance of getting a connection with BSNL within 2 months - sometimes less (in a week) sometimes more (4/6 mths). I wanted Airtel connection in Apr, 2007 - that time they said "no sir, sorry, can't do", last week I inquired, they still said "sorry".

i think 5oo combo + is da best,
    whyy???
    c 5oo = NU+1.5g+no ph rent+no FRee calls=500
    c 5oo+ = nu+2.5g+no ph rent+50 free cals=600

    for extra 100, u get 1 g+50 calls, worth 50+819.2=Rs869

    i agree.....
8Mbps with 1 GB limit is of no use at all... even i think BSNL is best in these terms...
    i m using 512kbps connection... and i download about 700mb to 1.2GB per night...

so i think i m clear with my point that 8Mbps plan with 1 or 2GB limit is of no good use...

    Home 500 C has 175 free calls.
Home 500 C has 50 free calls (like you said).

I prefer Home 500 C because I use my landline a lot for local, national and international long distance calls. My monthly calls are on an average 500 and sometimes over 800.
