Dude i think you got it all wrong... 192.168.1.1 in your browser address bar
not in the lan settings...

192.168.1.1 is how u access your modem settings through the web browser.....

1. Open Mozilla or IE
2. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and hit enter.
3. U/n and pwd is both "admin" by default.

I advised him to make the settings to enable the router to display the page .firstly we have to set it .

I dont think the ip dns settings are needed for the newer versions of the modems they take the ip address automatically atleast the ip address is taken automatically i guess.............................

no its not necessary to configure... just put your lan connections on auto and make sure your have connected the cable from your modem to your lan card... its enuf to configure your modem

No ! Some times it have to be make the settings first and later we have to set it as "auto"

Default i have a problem

i hav waa3002g4 modem ,i hav a pc connected via ethernet cable and lappi connected via wifi allworking fine but i wanted to host a cs 1.6 dedicatded server on internet but when i make server its ip address always hapeens to be 192.168.1.2 which is my internal ip address so the server is not searchable over internet, can ny1 help on how to make server with my external ip

1. Assign a static IP to the server. Something like 192.168.1.200.
2. Go to router configuration. Put the above address in NAT-DMZ option.
3. Your server is now accessible to the outside world.

Warning: You server is now exposed to hacking attacks. Put a goof firewall in place.
