Question Modem for wireless file transfer??

hey guys.. i have exactly the same modem and was just wondering . can i use this modem for file transfer from my desktop to my wifi??? my setup looks like this:
my desktop is connected to the router with RJ45.(desktop dosent hav wifi)
my laptop is connected thru wifi , wpa-psk ,
i am using bridging, so dial up from both whenever i need and i intend to keep it that way.
using xp sp3 and both the systems have file and printer sharing turned on. firewalls ive disabled, when i ran the network wizard both pc,s were added to the default "mshome" domain but in my entire network in network places .. the other pc is not shown. so i cant access
please guide if u think its possible

192.168.1.1 is how u access your modem settings through the web browser.....

    1. Open Mozilla or IE
    2. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and hit enter.
    3. U/n and pwd is both "admin" by default.
i cant get from you........ tel for vista
