    i have an bsnl broadband connection. they give me a uername & password
    can use this in dataone mail & how .

    Yes. User mail id is <username> @ bsnl.in.

    Not really. Just another mail account. But it supports POP3 which gmail/yahoo mail also support, but for a fee.
