Default Connectivity Issues

Hi!

I have BSNL Home 750 UL Plan.

The problem that I am facing is very low SNR values ~ 7 dB downstream. I want to ask you whether this might be because of the arrrangement of the phones in the house?

At the moment, in the living room there is a phone jack to which one of the phones are connected. In another room, the building guys have provided a jack for the same connection. To this, the splitter is connected which goes to a handset at one end and to the modem through the other.

On picking up the phone there is a lot of noise when the internet is connected.

Is this arrangement faulty? Please advise on how to connect the phone correctly for the broadband to improve.

the splitter should be the first thing connected to the phone line comin from outside.. rest all the things should be connected after the splitter. check more on BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

first you can try to replace your splitter (ADSL Filter) and see if it works fine or not.. if its not working fine then you can call BSNL for the line fault.. they will fix it from exchange..
