    Exclamation OH god wat to do next??????

    hi guys,
    i m new to this forum. i saw so many post n its awesome......
    i got home500 two days back. n my download speed is very low that is around 40kbps avg. in utorrent 1.8 stable.... but using IDM is around 200kbps. y is tat? n i followed all guides given here. (speed guide....) port forward..... open DNS.... n all these crap dint work out man!. i hav torrent wit 10kseeds but download is jus 40kbps...... damn!!! i hav ut3002u modem type 1:crying:

    my speed test results gives 1604kbps down n 414 up

    You mentioned that you tried port forwarding but ...

    Do you get the green tick arrow in uTorrent status bar which says that "Network OK ..."? This also means that your port is forwarded properly.

    ya i think just4kix is correct you need to check port that if you are using correct one or not and if it is forwarded correctly or not...

    same problem...getting 40 KBPS avg on torrents (port forwaded successfully) and 210 KBPS on DM (only if I have 10 downloads in parallel, but 45 KBPS avg for a single file )... Please help...

    PS: There are enough seeds (In thousands) for the torrent I'm downloading and I'm able to connect to upto 50 seeders....

    ohh then just4kix is better person to comment on this... otherwise you can try to use the torrents and port forwarding guide posted by just4kix

    The only thing that I can add is as follows:

    a) Apply the TCPIP.SYS patch. Google it and you will find it.
    b) Update to uTorrent 1.8. Set max half open connections to 50.
    c) Set the download speed to 85% of your download speed, e.g., set it to 215 KB/s for 2 mbps connection.
    d) Set the upload speed to 25 KB/s.
    e) Enable uTorrent in your Firewall
    f) Clear your internet cache from time to time. I use IE7 and I have kept history to 0 days.
