some where in this forum i read that decreasing the "maximum number of connected peers per torrent" to a value say 18-20 for a 256 Kbps connection(home 750 UL) stabilizes the download speed.but i was fiddling with the settings and i entered a value of 100 and the average overall download speed rose by a value of 3 Kbps, now was that just a coincidence or is there a reason behind the increase in speed, please justify.
also explain some terms like-DHT nodes,swarm speed,hash,local peer discovery,peer exchange,private tracker,public tracker.
what is the number "XX" in "seeds =NN(XX)"
am currently downloading "THE X FILES season 3".on the site piratebay it is showing 7-8 peers but in utorrent it shows 69(518) peers.why is there such a huge difference in the counting of peers.is it because of difference in trackers-as in utorrent has more trackers than the site piratebay??
