what i need is only the download speed n to connect the linsky modem...

    thankyou for ur response....
    n waiting for it...
Thats not possible... U've to opt for BSNL landline connection to use their broadband... What you can do is that u can deactivate the outgoing calls facility to reduce ur rental... Then ur rental for phone will be approx. Rs.140 monthly including taxes... But then u won't be able to make any calls...

    Broadband charges/rental will be additional....

If one opts for UL750+ or Home Combo plans then landline rent is waived off anyway.

Ok.. Thats great... I still have to get my first 2 months bill (Aug, Sept)... Since long I have only incoming facility... so it was Rs. 140 only...

    @frns4ravi

Deactivate outgoing if u r concerned about phone misuse... this way u'll get only broadband charges...

I am thinking about moving from Reliance WiMax unlimited 150Kbps to BSNL UL750.
My experience with reliance has been great.
    Positives:
    Almost zero downtime,
Real consistency in download speeds (16-18KBps)

    Negatives:
Customer care people are a bunch of fools
    Costlier than BSNL

    My concern are only two:
Reliability (I want almost zero downtime)
Consistency in speed. (From the poll I can gather that it is pretty much decent.)

    I need your advise
should I go ahead with the move or stay put with reliance

In two months so far with BSNL I wasn't able to connect on just a single day... for 15 hrs... the problem got rectified by itself...otherwise its working like a charm...

It will be better if u ask about the BSNL service in ur area... and then take any decision... but in most places its good... Dumb customer care executives r in every ISP... BSNL is no exception...

I once got a bill of 10k , because i thought i was in a wrong plan. In the end precious money is lost for every MB of download.

    ^^ What's your location?

It depends on your location and how much "contacts" you have in BSNL.
