Default Always on HOME plan !! ???

My friend got his internet connection this month with Home250 Plan. His modem is Nokia simens C2110. He was unable to connect to internet from 15th of August - Error 681. But today he opened Internet explorer and was able to surf the internet without using dial up to connect. When ever he starts his pc he is able to surf the internet. He then logged in to the admin page of modem and used something like reboot last config. But still problem is not solved.

which mode are you using i.e.
bridge mode- in which you have to dial the username password manually

PPPoE(point to point protocol over ethernet)- in which you are conneted to the internet as soon as the PC is booted

so in which you are in?? from the style of your writing i guess you are in PPPoE
and afterall this i still didnt get what your problem is!!

I use bridged mode. But my friend who has the problem might be on PPPOE mode. Also the LAN icon that he has is missing when he connects modem and all four LEDs (power, link. pc/usb, data) are glowing simultaneously and steadily.
