Default Disconnection Issues

Hi all,

From the past one week i am facing a lot of disconnection issues. The led on my router (MT) for line goes off within 2 mins. I have been only able to surf 3-4 times in the past week. I stay in the Nigdi-Pune area. I have a home 500 plan. Is anybody else facing the same issues.
Anybody faced these problems in the past?

Thanks,
Jitesh

Due to rains the phone line may have developed faults. Check the SNR margin and Line Attenuation values from the modem's status page. SNR Margin must be 10 db or more and Line attenuation should be 30 db or less.

If the values are not satisfactory, make a written complaint to the Nigdi exchange (in duplicate) and ask them to check the line.

Also make sure that you have a splitter connected to the first entry point of the telephone line into home. No parallel line connections before the splitter.

yes before making any call to ISP its better to check physical setup of your broadband.. if everthing is connected properly and there are no extention phones or anything like that then call ISP for line test... and do check SNR as well..

and you can read some similar post about disconnection issue in BSNL Broadband topic...
