    Default BSNL speeds screwed up!!

    Hi everyone,

I've been using BSNL Home 1800 broadband plan since 2 months. During the first month, speeds were fine and I'm pretty much satisfied. Used to get 210 KBPS download and 45 KBPS upload. After first month... i.e since Aug 1st download speed is very low. Getting only 45 KBPS.

I'm using Beetel 440 TXI modem... I have not changed any settings... I've even tried with MT841 modem...still same issue...

On a whole I'm just able to download 900 MB in b/w 2 AM - 6 PM (using torrents)

If I'm downloading a single file from rapidshare, download speed is just around 45 KBPS.. if I start to download 10 files from rapidshare in parallel, then download speed is around 210 KBPS ... WTF .. why is this difference

Someone please help me... Thanks in advance....

PS: This issue is not only in b/w Happy hours... but all the day hmy:

This could be because there are trojans on the PC. Check your \Windows\System32 directory and order by descending order of "Date Modified". Check for unknown DLLs.

If you see dll's created since Aug, google them for what they are.

Sometimes clearing the TEMP folders. internet cache, etc. also helps. Use "CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner".

Alternatively check your ISP website for any changes made to your plan.

Thanks Greikor for the reply. Yes, I've just checked BSNL tariff plans for Home 1800 package. No changes
