Default BSNL Charged me for 2am to 8am Free time

    Hi there,

I was shocked to see that even after my Home 250 plan was changed to Home 500 on the 3 rd July 2008, BSNL charged me for the downloads I did during 2 am to 8 am.

They also added an amount of Rs. 617 sayin that it's the amount for the plan change.

Has this happned with anoybodly else too ??

What should I do ?? Plz help me.

When did the plan change actually happen? Go to the BSNL portal and check out "My Orders". Plan change occurs only when the status changes to "Provisioned".

Please post a screen shot of the usage portal. You can argue about this with the BSNL divisional officer. If you do not get a satisfactory reply and you think that you are correct, you can file a consumer court case.

    Yes Certainly,

I was changed on the Home 500 Plan on the 3 rd July 2008.

    herez the detail

    HOME 500 downloadspeed -Upto 2 Mbps 2008/07/03 11:33:05 2008/07/03 11:54:29 386 939 1325 1284 1325

    Downloadspeed upto 2 Mbps 2008/07/02 20:55:27 2008/07/02 21:07:12

My useage history also shows that. It says for the month 2008-07 "Sum Traffic Excluding Night Unlimited(GB) = 2.507"

One of the important things that needs to be done before availing free usage (2 AM to 8 AM) is that you must reboot/restart the modem after 2 AM (say at 2:05 AM) and once again before 8 AM (say 7:55 AM). Have you done that?

Please visit the alternate BSNL portal: BSNL Portal!!

Check your usage here and post the screen shot.

Please hide all personal details from the screen shot by blackening out username, etc.

    Hi there,

I mostly start after 2am. But that's not the issue here. The portal automatically records ur free useage from 2 am and stops it at 8 am. I have checked and rechecked this again & again.

I have the portal saying that i have how much free useage(2 am to 8 am) and it also shows the my "Sum Traffic Excluding Night Unlimited(GB) = 2.507" .............which is just 7 mb over the allowed.

    herez the screenshot.

Hi, would like to know more about 'Provisioned'. What does it mean?

I have applied for Home 500 plan but in Portal, it is showing Home 1000. I called customer care, they told me to contact nearest exchange. While contacting they show me (in there system) that it is Home 500 plan, not Home 1000. But in Portal, still its showing Home 1000 plan.

    Is something alarming?

30 FEB !! what date is that ??

Ive heard about problems in Updating of portal. You will be billed according to your portal not what BSNL guys says. Their servers shows different results. Good Luck.
