Can i download and install more than one Anti virus software?
Can i download and install an antivirus software ,anti spyware and adaware of different authors or companies?
Some people are saying not to download more than one .But some other advising to do for more safety.
What about it?

You should not have more than one AV softwares installed.

You can have one software for each category and then can be from different companies but DO NOT install more than one in each category. Also if you have installed an AV software that contains Anti-Spy/Adware then do not install any other Anti-Spy/Adware.

if you install more than one software of the same type you will have more problems than it solves them

Like if you use Norton and Trend anti virus there will be lot of issues and your system will slow down to a great extent, generally anti virus software are resource hungry and even if they work together your system will be very slow (unless you have lot of spare RAM)

I would have a anti virus and a firewall installed, it may be one company or different it does not matter that much

I am using trend micro as antivirus and zone alarm for firewall works fine for me
