Rep Power: 2 | I have recently got BSNL BB connection. The modem supplied to me is UTSTARCOM. THe following are the details Device Info Board ID: 96338W-20P2 Software Version: 3.08.02.IB.02.01_1206_030308 Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.37-10.1 Firmware Version: DNA-A211-I-0001.01 Hardware Version: DNA-A211-I 2.6 Model Name: DNA-A211-I Wireless Driver Version: 3.131.35.6.cpe2.0a.s This information reflects the current status of your DSL connection. Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 507 Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 1860 LAN IP Address: 192.168.1.1 Default Gateway: Primary DNS Server: 192.168.1.1 Secondary DNS Server: 192.168.1.1 I have the following queries: 1. I have a HP laptop dv2500 on Win Vista Home Premium with wireless enabled. How would I configure the laptop to access my Wireless modem. Step by step procedure expected as I am a novice. I need information on setting up wireless LAN also. 2. I have a PC with Win XP. I have established a PPPoE Connection and am able to access the internet without any hindrance. I would like to know if it is possible to keep both the machines connected : the XP PC thru. PPPoE connection and the Vista Laptop through Wireless. If yes, how? If no, is there any way so that I can access the internet through both the systems simultaneously. 3. I have been provided with a userID as well as password. I would like to know whether I get a free E-mail account with the Home250 plan? IF yes how do I access the same? 4. How do I check the usage of my account? Thanks for the patience. The setup files are mentioned in there are not uptodate. As per my installation files, it automatically does not detect my modem. I set up my PPPoE connection without installing the modem. | |
