Thread: Seeding in Home 500 plans

I am currently using BSNL 750UL plan which as you all know suxs bigtime regarding speed. I used to have home 500 plan when I got 100 kBps speed on an average, but recently my friends are getting about 220 KBps speed in Home 500 plans. So, I am thinking of switching back.

Now, definitely I can download more(4-5 gb) in 6 hrs in Home 500 plan than in 24 hrs using UL750(2 gb atmost!!!). But I need to know if it's easy to seed using this plan.
1.What is the highest uploading speed for the plan?

2.Also, I have to seed at intervals of 18 hrs which may mean 0 leechers even on new torrents. So, how many of you guys are in private trackers and what is your take on this?

home 500 is a BIG NO FOR PRIVATE TRACKERS unless you download very less(~1-2GB per day in free time)because there is no way you can maintain a good ratio because upload speed is ~50KBps with which you can upload only ~1GB per day from 2-8AM.

Even with the UL750 plan, I can only upload ~1.5 gb atmost each day with avg. speed 25 KBps. That's considering the computer is running 24 hrs full. But, seeding for just 6 hrs even with double speed will be big problem I guess coz i can never expect leechers to be there for those 6 hrs. I guess, there's no perfect plan in India Now, if only BSNL provides 2 mbps unlimited plans for Rs. 1k or 8 mbps limited plans with 12 hrs freetime
