Thread: My broadband plan changed today ??!! Help about bill.

My Broadband Plan changed from UL750 to Home 500 today. Status normal. W.e.f 26/08/2008 15:22:17 PM.

I wonder how will I be billed for this month?

Also How frequently does portal upgrade. I am an old subscriber so I check from usage 10.240.43.216. Is there any way for me to get PORTAL ID ?:helpsmilie:

there is no UL 500 plan from BSNL.you will get 2-8AM free downloading only & for rest of month limit will be 2.5GB(1.5GB if home 500C).portal ID can be get by contacting local exchange & will be needed only if your actual IP is now like 117.x.x.x & not 59.x.x.x.billing will be done on per day basis meaning divide the monthly limit & bill of both plans by 30 to get daily limit & bill.then calculate for no. of days you have that plan e.g.for home 500 plan you have 6 days now while rest 25 days 750 plan billing will apply.

I think you mean that your plan has been changed to Home 500.

You will charged prorated. From 1/8/08 to 25/8/08 (25 days) you will be charged Rs. 750/31*25. From 26/8/08 to 31/8/08 (6 days) you will be charged 500/31*6. BTW, is your connection Home 500 or Home 500 C or Home 500C+. For the first two charges are Rs. 500 pm but for the last it is Rs. 600. So charges will change accordingly. Note that your usage limit for last 6 days will also be prorated.

Portal is usually updated every 3 hours or so but sometimes it is updated late also. For getting portal id, contact your exchange. If you are unable to get it from exchange call the Banglore NOC (080 - 25808899).

Usage is prorated to number of days of the month (31 or 30 or 28, etc.). Let us get this absolutely straight - I was too lazy to put in calculated values.

For Home 500 plan from 26-Aug to 31-Aug (6 days), prorated figures are:

a) Charges = Rs. 96.77 + tax
b) Usage limit = 495.48 MB
