Thread: It has been 1& half month, BSNL people have not installed the connection

It has been 1& half month, BSNL people have not installed the connection at my place , actually it's for a new connection , but it shoudlnt take so long to install it , i have visited BSNL office ,met SITE Engineer (in his cabin) 5-6 times till now , he says "we will installing today itself, dont worry".
So i just want to know that do i have to give some bribe to these guys to install it or is there any other way. What you people have done , please let me know.

I got my connection after nearly 2 months.

BNSL connections is like Windows PnP. Plug-in (your application and money) and Pray.

But just let me know that do i have to pay them a bribe , did you do that ?
Coz installed is for my bunglow , & they say that they have to spend much on wire expenditure to install it .
Please suggest me some good way!!!!!!!!

bsnl job is to provide line upto a junction box/pole outside your home.from there it's your choice.you can either simply choose to connect wire into home like a cable or you can go for internal wiring in your house which will obviously be costly.

even i had a hard time getting a connection, it took 2 months
but i didn't sit back, i went to the xchage every 2 dn day, they all know me now in the exchange. i guess i realyy pissed them off.

Thanks sb21pro & whitestar_999 for the suggestion , i'll do the same now . I need to follow up every 2 days now , then only these guys are going to install.

My friend had got his connection after 8 months!! That's yowza!!

Better submit one application saying you have applied for connection and its going to be 2 months and you didn't get it. Make sure you get the receiving for your application (on its carbon copy).
It may help you to get your connection soon.

Thanks relton & ensine for the suggestion , yes as per other pals & you people have suggested , i need to get in touch with BSNL people & :19: , then only these people are going to install .

use RTI and ask them when will your application be processed. That will most probably do the trick. I never paid any bribe. You also don't pay. I got mine after three months.

These people are very very lazy.......

keep calling them every second day, bug them

if necessary be rude too, tell them you have been waiting enough, exagerate a little.

still if no response visit their nearby office.

i had to do all that to finally get the connection.

Ohh it seems all you had a really tough time dealing with those guys ....
I find myself lucky enough....i got it the next day itself...
