Thread: YouTube blocked in BSNL ?

Hey, here is a great solution which should work for everyone who have problems with youtube....

They do blocked it last year i couldnt access demonoid and early this year phazeddl too.

I don think that is the problem with the 59.x.x.x ip's...I have the same series and have not experienced anything like that.....

Itz nt bsnl, m using airtel n am nt able 2 open youtube properly, always getting errors. I think solution is change country preference to worldwide.

I have tried YouTube - Broadcast Yourself., uk.youtube.com and in.youtube.com none of them work, either the site is down or BSNL could be blocking it.

i dont think BSNL will block it as its one of the site which most of the people who have net will access... so if they block it then people will start to think before they take BSNL BB . Hope they are not doing it.....

I could think of many conspiracy theories...especially at the time of elections. But this won't be the right place to discuss all that.

I am having the same problem from yesterday. Today also I am facing it.

Check it now...its working properly. I just accessed the site, everything appears to be back to normal, it seems.

S, now it seems ok.

Someone posted above this link to to the Netwsweeper control panel but it does not work 172.30.3.54/webadmin/deny/index.php?dpid=1&cat=4&ttl=-100&groupname=blah blah

Does anybody have a working URL? Do we know if BSNL is still using Netweeper?

So there is no way to technically verify that BSNL is still using Netsweeper for filtering? Is there any hint in the blockpage?

What kind of setup is used in BSNL Exchange is beyond the scope of this forum, as most users ( including me ) just want a stable connection with reasonable speed and access to all web sites.

Please post details of the web sites you could not access ( if any )
with other details like modem/router used and OS and firewall application.

Company Website says full implementation/installation for BSNL will be completed by 2008 or so.

Is there any hint in the blockpage?

Presume you want the error message which appears in your Browser.
Access denied / error 404 etc./ server taking too long etc

Youtube is not blocked in BSNL. Period.

It's working fine everywhere.
