    Cool Need Help (BSNL WA3002G4)

    Hi,

I have queries on which I need some help. First of all I have BSNL broadband with WA3002G4 modem/router. I was using internet on my desktop for the last one year through wire. Now i have purchased a laptop (HP) with wireless connectivity. Now my queries are :
    1. How to connect desktop and laptop at same time through WA3002G4 ?

    2. How to put two machines on network so that I can share data ?

    Thanks in Advance.

ans.1.you have to configure your modem in pppoe mode(in which you get connected by just turning on the modem).see here to get some idea---
    WA3002-g1 ADSL MODEM (Type-II) MENU

    ans.2.use windows network setup wizard.

Default Please help, WA3002G4, bridge mode

I am using BSNL 500 plan, modem WA3002G4. I was using net only on my desktop until now, but now I bought a laptop and a new PC also. My modem has 4 lans on back, so in theory I can connect four machines through that modem. But the problem is that BSNL people set my modem in bridge mode last month due to getting "Phone line busy" message again and again. I went to BSNL office here, they said that I can connect only one machine at a time.

This was the brief summary. Now can anyone help ?

See Post No 2 above. IN computer TCP/IP properties select Obtain Ip address automatically.
Firstly connect Laptop via lanport and check working Ok.
Then try the WIFI settings without security code. If OK
    Enter ssd/wep code.
Para two : To keep connection "always On" open WAn settings page.
Deselect "bridged" and select PPP/PPPoE enter UserID without @bsnl.in and password.
(* Your 14digit PortalID and Password not to be used. Used for checking usage and for changing PW etc . Get it from exchange . )
Check "Always On " Idle time 0 . SAVE and reboot. Wait for two or three minutes.
    Feedback.

Welcome. Actually I should thank the forum for letting me know that BSNL provides such useful info on their portals by pointing me to Calcutta bsnl portal. I accidently landed on that and marked on my del.icio.us

Yes, it has screenshot based help for most of the bsnl provided modem/routers.

    Are you using WA 3002 G4 ?

Simply press the reset button on the bottom or rear side of your modem. Please note that you need to reconfigure the modem after resetting.

    Thanks.

But the link has information about how to configure after installing the software from CD. I am looking for the CD installation media itself.

If what you are looking for is not available in the link/s given,
try a Google search WA3002-G4 user manual
or Utstar WA3002-G4 user manual. or try Beetel 450BXI or
    Siemen's SL2-141 or ZTE ZXdsl 531B .

If you spell out what additional info you are looking for
in an installation CD ( if supplied by BSNL)may be you can get members' suggestion/s
    3.
Incidentally the threads of this forum and another forum are listed in the first PAGE itself. TOP TEN! !)
