Dears,
Whenever i start download from rapidshare i get following message.

"Your IP address 218.248.78.12 is already downloading a file. Please wait until the download is completed.

Premium members can download any number of files simultaneously. Become a Premium member now. The download will be available shortly."

I am using BSNL wireless modem (EC325).
if can you help me out?

Rapidshare is very strict on guests.

1. You can download only one file at a time.
2. The speed is restricted (I forgot the value)
3. After downloading the previous file, you have to wait at the rate of 1 MB = 1 min, e.g., if you downloaded 5 MB file previously, you cannot download for another 5 mins.

Wimax/EVDO users face one more problem. These users get a shared static IP from their tower. So if a tower has 64 users connected all get the same (real) IP. If one user is downloading from RS, his/her IP is locked on their server. When another user tries to download something else, he gets the message that you have seen.

The only solution to above is:

- become a RS premium member by paying a monthly fee.
or
- stop depending on RS for your files; search them on torrents instead.

Personally I never use RS.

I am not sure if that condtion is still there.Earlier it was there.Now you don't have to wait for such a long period.I personaly download 100MB files and the next file I can download in 2 mins....the max waiting time is around 82 seconds that I observe myself.But I guess it all depaends on the server and other factors.

Sometimes using the 'change IP address' trick, RS can be fooled. For example, download a file, reboot the modem and you will get a new IP address. RS thinks a new computer has connected.

I stopped downloading from RS long ago. Perhaps they have removed the restrictions or maybe what I said above is happening to you.

RS has now lifted the waiting time limit & entering image verification code limit for free users.in return they have capped the speed of free users to ~50-60KBps.
this IP address 218.248.78.12 is most certainly that of an educational institution or corporation & hence shared by many users.even if 1 user is downloading something from that educational institution or corporation rest won't be able to download from RS at that time.only solution is buy RS premium account.

there are softwares you can try out... i will tell u.. rapiddown, USD, rdownloader, rapget and so one.. download some of those and try weda works on rapidshare recently or not??

i tried few years back.. these app were working for me.. trust me.. u can download as may rapidfiles as u can.. without waiting and without any restriction... u have to copy past urls... of the files... ow i dont know how it works.. test some of these softwares and reply the post... lets see...

Nothing of these tricks(hack softwares) or websites work actively. Certain number of times their server is down or the connection gets lost. Normally, I find speeds of 60KB/sec and less on RS files even with my trusty IDM(Full version). But, personally, I do not like rapidshare. Torrents are game in my case.

please tell me the good sites of torrents and how to increase the speed of torrents

none of the above mentioned softwares will work for you because you have a static IP.even for users like myself who have a home connection these tools won't give more speed than ~50KBps in any case & you can't resume.

Personally I never use RS.

I do not get speed more than 2.5Kb/s with torrent also.
sometimes it is 12-13 Kb/s but almost all time i get this low speed
can you give me the help to solve it.

i think overall idea... RS premium account is the way for faster unlimited downloads... tht u can trust with no virus...but again its upto u... to buy premium account..

regarding what whitestar told is correct... tht static IP will have download problem.. but wat i suggested apps for jigar is somethin like u wont notify rapidshare tht u downloading any file ... as the software build is llike u dont have to put any captach... or neither have to go to rapidshare links.. click downloads... just open the app.. copy paste the RS link.. it will directly download from RS collection on their server...

regarding torrens. frankly for me also speed is slow,, infact IDM doesnt increase speed in case if u downloading torrents.. and torrents speed though ppl tell more seeders.. more speed u will get... but i never found any increased speeds...


now coming back to RS apps,,,, which i adviced... tht will have speed 40 to 50 kbps,,, but u will be downloading many files at a time.. so quiet acceptable..



now llinks for the softwares... which i told,,, plz search google.. if u can find... untill i will give u.. in a while... chill

you don't have to put any captcha now as RS has removed this limit now for free users.you can download multiple files from RS using proxies but as per my experience good fast proxies are hard to find & even if you find one it will die soon enough.

I use torrents. I get maximum speed of 35KB (256 Kbps- 750UL) if there are enough seeds. I can download a 100 MB file in less than an hour. Almost the same as a direct download. Unlike rapidshare I don't need to download files separately and join it together after that. All I have to do is download one small .torrent file open it in µtorrent and the client will download the big (real) file. I used some rapidshare downloading tools. Some of them had virus in them and others won't work because rapidshare updated their site. If you setup up the software correctly you will see torrents are really easy. I still use rapidshare to download small files. I will reset the ip to download the next part.

Do you download from home or some other place. Cause the IP address you posted is not a standard dynamic IP provided by BSNL. If you are downloading from a public network or institute or office etc, then your line must be shared in all pc so you are getting low speeds.

Like whitestar 999 said you don't need to enter any captcha now, rapidshare removed it completely. Insted They limited the maximum download speed for free users to 500 Kilo bits(62.5 Kilo Bytes).
