Talking BSNL Free download time From 2 am to 8.20 am

    Dear friend.

I am posting a general way to increase your free download time upto 30 min.It is true.

Here is my usages link :
    img222.imageshack.us/my.php?image=freeqt2.jpg
You can find there that my free download time is upto 8.20 am.Isn't it excited ?
simple way that at 7.50 am just reconnect to broad band. Then from that time calculate 30 min. Then at 8.20 am disconnect our modem and enjoy that 20 min free. You can make it maximum upto 30 min.

Sorry if some body has posted this before.

    Enjoy.

Yes. This is true. But the problem with uTorrent is that it allows scheduling for one hour slots only - so I cannot schedule it to stop at 8:30 AM.

    just4kix:

you have to disconnect the Modem. You cant scheduled automaticaly. You have to do it manualy to get extra benifit.

    And gurusam ;

This mont I have tried this 2 times and it gave me no error. And totaly free.It is chargable for you because your computer time and BSNl sever time does not match.check your account usages to adjust your clock and try for 30 minutes.you must disconnect your modem before 8 am according to BSNL time and reconnect with in that.If you will do that after 8 am then it will chargable for you.

So be careful before apply this and it works for me.if you want I can post some more image of my usage details also.

@sambit, You are telling me about rebooting modem!!!! I have written a guide on this. What I said that you cannot use 30 mins slots in uTorrent. I cannot stop uTorrent at 8:30 using uTorrent Schedule.

Look guys, don't be greedy and play with fire. I also know that there exists 30 mins grace period and I have see it happen to me also but that is BSNLs indulgence and not a waiver. Anytime they can charge for it.

Please do not advice anyone that you get free download till 8:30 AM. Suppose BSNL decide to charge for that 30 mins what will happen:

    - in 30 minutes you can download a maximum of 256 KB/s * 60s * 30m = 450 MB
    - in 30 days you will download 13500 MB or 13.18 GB
    - if BSNL charged for the extra download you will end up charged Rs. 8749.06 for everything over 2.5 GB. This is assuming that you do not use your bandwidth for anything else.
    - the tax on above will be Rs. 1081.38
    - your bill will be up by Rs. 9830.44

So play safe - that is all I will tell you.

Just use your 2-8 am timings fully and no need to worry about any thing. Why take the risk for an extra 30 min. Chowwwwww!!

OK the process is true, but with risks.

    u have downloaded 1 GB extra in 20 x 3 = 60 Minutes.
that means in 6 hrs(02-08) u can download 6 GB.
    in one month u can download 6 x 30 = 180 GB.

What will u do that much GB's?
out of 24 hrs u download 6 GB in 6 hrs, honestly tell - did u review ur downloaded data in the remaining 18 hrs?

thanx for the information sambit... i'll definitely give it a try... there r loopholes in all the systems all over the world... n people exploit them for their benefit... i b'lieve thats smart... N moreover i can stop it the moment i see that they have started to charge for it by checking my usage... so no harm i guess... thanx a lot neway... as an opportunist... I'll grab it with both of my hands..

    I agree with member just4kix.
Merely because BSNL has missed charging some times for usage after 8.00 AM does not mean that one should make it a regular practice. It is not ethical also ,when you have yourself selected nighttime scheme.
For those who want to use unlimited download at all times, please select Rs 750/1350 scheme.

The free timings are from 2am to 8am. Make sure u reconnect after 2am and before 8am, so that BSNL charges it as free usage.

Please state your plan. BSNL has set different limits for different plans.

The problem is if u get disconnected in between after 8am (bsnl time), u wil get charged for it... u might not know if it gets disconnected as the private trackers take only very little time to reach maximum speed again...

The disconnection rule at 2am and 8am is strictly applicable to the newer subscribers with 117.xx.xx.xx IP. The older users with 59.xx.xx.xx have no such problem as the usage is automatically deducted even when there is overlap in between free time and chargeable time.
