    Thumbs up Speed boost up

Hi folks.I have bsnl750UL plan and the download speed they offer(atleast on paper!) is 256kbps(=32KB/S),i have installed IDM5.14 and achieving speeds in the range 20 to 33KB/s(since the speed fluctuates in this crappy service as u all know). Can I increase my download speed even more,by the way i have forwared my ports using tcp/ip.sys patch.

Q2.Is there a possibility that if the main line(that comes from exchange) if exposed to water slow up the download speed!!!!!!.This is what the T.M.(technical manager) of bsnl told me today.I was shocked at this because people in 3rd floor even though we share the same cable(i mean Exchange pole) get high download speeds in the same plan.

I think bsnl is simply playing blame-game.

Q3.How to download multiple files from rapidshare.com because whenever i try to download a new file it is saying that your IP adress is already downloading a file,is there any gadget to avoid that?

    Please help me out somebody.

There is no alternative friend. In 750Ul connection you have to be happy with 30 - 32KB/s. I am using 1350UL but getting 55 at an average.

I think they changed it to bbservice.bsnl.in ( I am not able to access data.bsnl.in). There are very few people in BSNL who actually took the time to learn broadband technology. The others give you every possible excuse the can come up with.

I get an error that says "Usage Details are not available due to regular maintenance activity. Inconvenience caused is regretted." And as for 'data.bsnl.in' I cannot access the site at all.

BSNL guys don't know about broadband any more than we know.
