Thread: plz help!(about broadband usage)

i've got my new broadband connection of BSNL from 21st august though the letter featuring the id and password says my connection is activated from 13 th august.i've 3 questions...
1.from which day my usage would be calculated?and how?
2.what is billed usage and what is unbilled usage?in their portal they are showing billed usage of 420 mb(21st-1st sep).what is this?
3.how can i calculate the approx bill and left usage?
plz reply if anyone knows....

what plan do you have?

i think it would be billed from the day u first connected ur connection(BB).

if you have Nu then all the usage will not be billed
and free as per ur paln will be subtracted from your billed usage at the time of billing.

your usage will be calculated from 13th.billed usage means that bill is ready for the mentioned usage & time period & will be send to you.from 13th you got 19 days of connection so divide monthly plan bill by 31(days in august) & then multiply it by 19(days you had the connection) to get the bill.same applies for usage limit.from 1 sep usage limit & bill will be monthly.

thanks for he reply.my billed usage is showing 420mb,what is the meaning?my plan is home250.how can i calculate the amount of usage left for the month.?the upper limit is 1gb.

1 month=31 days in august so for per day usage limit is (1GB/31)=(1024MB/31)=33.03MB so for 19 days you will get (19*33.03)=627.57MB & your usage is 420MB so your usage was under the limit.similarly your bill will be (250/31)*19=Rs.153.

thanks once again.is there any software available which says about the "usage left for the month".in bsnl portal only usage is shown.but how can i judge that my usage is under or above the limit.
what is the amount of service charge?can i shift my plan from monthly(250) to yearly payment(2500)?then what is the procedure?

pal its simple, they will just subtract the limt from total usage at the time of billing, means its showing total usage so if ur count is 400mb then u have 624mb left and if 1100mb then you will pay for 76mb @ 80 paisa per Mb (1gb=1024mb)

as far as annual paymt is concerned just fill up a form , the amount will be added in the bill.

i suggest that you change your plan to 500 comb0

really it's simple.can you plz say why 500 combo is better than 250.in bfone monthly rental is of 180/+extra amt for call+bb amt is to be given by me.if i shift to 500 combo then what will be the benefit...plz tell me the approx amt to be paid in total for 5oo combo...

2. 500C 500(BB)+0(PH)+tax+xxc cals(175free)+xx BB usage = 560 min ( more free calls, Nu 1.5 g lim)
3. 500C+ 600(BB)+0(PH)+tax+xxc cals(50free)+xx BB usage = 670 min ( more free calls, Nu 2.5 g lim)

When I got my Dataone connection (Home 256- 1.0 GB) the BSNL guys said I can only download 300 MB on the first month of connection.

in the phone bill of the month aug,they are not showing the broad band details but their is an entry of others/adjustment.......what is this?is it the broadband bill?how can i know the broadband bill beforehand......(before the hard copy reaches my home)

broadband bill is finalized on 4th of every month.after that you can get a duplicate copy of bill from local billing office.in phone bill broadband bill is usually shown under debit(in my case)or some other column(changes from region to region).

generally my total call unit is around 300(250+50 free calls).If i restrict my BBusage to upper limit,then what would be the approx bill for 500 combo?.i am now using home250.can i restrict the amount to 600(including tax and all those things).actually i don't want to exceed 600/- per month.plz suggest.if i want to change plan then do i have to wait for three month?
