first see if you can open the modem settings page by typing 192.168.1.1 in your browser(enter username/password as admin/admin).if not then in your LAN TCP/IP properties enter IP as 192.168.1.4 & default gateway as 192.168.1.1.after opening modem settings page go to configuration-->internet connections.click on red pencil under edit in front of 1st connection named something like pppoe_0_35 & keep clicking on next until you reach the screen where you will be asked to enter your bsnl username/password.enter it without @bsnl.in & click on next.apply & then restart modem.again go to configuration-->internet connections & you should see a connect link below 1st connection.click on connect & you should see the connection status as connected.you will see an IP adress like 117.x.x.x or 59.x.x.x in front of the connection.

FW update is required only for SIEMENS c2110(not NOKIA SIEMENS c2110) & is not recommended in my opinion because this firmware update changes user interface & makes setting up modem in bridge mode & accessing advanced options more difficult like in newer NOKIA SIEMENS c2110 modems.

C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
    He has to "jump" from 4 to 12 & 13 etc !
also entering UserID may have to skip @ bsnl.in ( not tested or confirmed ) I have not entered @ dataone .in in my modem wan page.
I have not checked the web site which modem needs FW update and gave the link from Bookmarks.

for configuring ur Modem, member @whitestar_999 is the best person to talk about.
but after configuration if u want to "Reboot" ur Modem thru a s/w (at 02:00 AM) then refer
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...manager-4.html (Ultimate Night Usage Manager.)
One of the member has raised this issue there and his problem was solved.
