    Default Setup password

I am using Utstarcom WA3002-g1 ADSL router provided by BSNL. In past I have changed default password ('admin') to some other value. I forgot that string now. Is there any other way to log on to router setup page?

You will need to reset the modem to factory settings.

    - All settings and configurations will be lost
    - Password will be reset to 'admin'

After reseting you will have to start all over again and do all the configuration. I hope you know how to reset the modem and reconfigure. If not, give a shout.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have tried with hardware reset button provided on back WA3002-g1 router. It didn't work. Please let me know if there is another way to reset it.

You need to power on the modem, and using a matchstick or toothpick or ballpoint press the RESET button for 20 seconds or more. All LEDs will flash simultaneously and then your modem will be reset.

Thanks buddy!! It worked... I was able to log on to the router setup page now.

However, the main problem for which I was trying to verify the router configuration is not solved yet. The problem is: When I connect to the internet from my laptop (using LAN/Wireless LAN), it runs for some time and then connection is lost. I have to give a power cycle to the router OR reset the IP from network connection symbol. When problem arises, 'ADSL' LED stops glowing continuously.

Any idea for solving this problem?

in your modem settings in status/overview tab look for SNR values.if any value is below 10 then you need to get your line checked by BSNL.also make sure that operating mode is G.dmt & not ADSL2/2+ & make sure that telephone line coming into house goes directly into splitter & no phone is connected before splitter.
