    - Then on cannot access Net as well as Router Login Page.
    - Did Ipconfig/Release and Renew....
    - Tried Auto TCP/IP..
    Nothing works !!!

Can Ping router now (On default IP) but cannot ping yahoo and likes

It is not possible that there is no RESET button on the modem. Look carefully on the back panel. There will be a small button inside a small hole. You will need a matchstick or toothpick to reset the modem.

Power up the modem, keep the reset button pressed for 15~20 seconds. After a few seconds all modem LEDs will flash quickly and then release the reset button.

Please change TCP/IP properties to automatic. Connect laptop to modem directly by ethernet cable. From command prompt window, type 'ipconfig /release', then type 'ipconfig /renew'. Afterwards type 'ipconfig /all'. Post the results here.

p/s. My home internet is down at the moment and I cannot view picture from office. So post the results in text.

if password is changed from admin to something else & you forgot it then it is very difficult to access modem page without resetting.i have tried searching but it seems like this new modem by BSNL either has no reset switch or no one has founded it yet.look carefully because sometimes it's tricky to find reset switch & i seriously doubt if any modem manufacturer made modems without reset switch.look inside ventilation holes.remove foam/rubber covering if any at bottom of modem usually done to provide some kind of support stand.remove sticker too if needed.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

As far as i know i had not changed the router login id or pw.
But then i dont even get the login prompt ! (IE shows Page Cannot be displayed)

Secondly, HTC and BSNL together may forget to provide the RST switch ....
There's a Warranty sticker which needs to be removed to remove curiosity.... am thinking of doin it tonight..

J4K, Admin, white S...also loading the jpeg of router's rear !!

If you are still able to access the modem settings page then there is an option to restore factory settings.. try that.

It looks like there is no reset button on your modem... dont know what these chineese are upto... its probbably a conspiracy by the chineese to waste our time and make us all less productive and slow down our economy in the process...
