Thread: datafox not working

hi all.
Iam a new bsnl broadband subscriber. Iam using firefox 3.0.1. and datafox 1.5.
this add on is no doubt excellent. but for me it is of no use. it shows a cross(error) icon . and error that logging fail check your username and password. i know that i have to use portal id not username.
just want to use this excellent utility. plese help. ANd yes iam using window xp with sp3 and norton 2008.

●I never used 'Datafox'. But I assume you need to enter
potal id/username and password to use it.
● By default DataOne username and portal id are the same(unless you changed it).
● May be the site was under maintenance when you used it

Not working with FF 3.0.1 release

I have upgraded my browser to FF 3.0.1. Ever since that it is not working. It is unable to login through the datafox to portal site. I guess it needs an update.

Now, BSNL Broadband provides service in the format of Portal ID and its password, while this Datafox after getting the download asks for User name,Password and domain and thus new users are unable to start this product

you are a new BSNL customer having IP 117.x.x.x & user ID @bsnl.in i am guessing so for your information datafox addon won't work for such users.it only works for old customers having @dataone.in user ID,IP 59.x.x.x & who don't need any separate portal ID to check their usage.

Datafox, is it an add-on. I prefer BSNL usage sites.

Datafox has been modified for IP 117.xx.xx.xx .
Domain bbservice.bsnl.in has been added. will check later and report.

My ip is 59.xx.xxx.xx eventhough I am not able to login with Datafox 1.5. I am using firefox 3.0.3 I am using DataOne-bandwidth 2.8.1 but not able to use Datafox. It always shows error icon. I did not get any portal id from bsnl. they said i will have only userid and password not portal id. pls advise how to use datafox.

Check Override default domain ( also check BSNL is selected on top)
enter your user id without @ dataone in.
Check whether you can access your BSNL usage web site directly.]

MY IP also 59.xx.xx.xx and no problem with Datafox.

This data fox is pure crap.

Its always best to check on bsnl portal using your id and password to see how much bandwidth you have used... even better get an unlimited connection.
