Red face Confused how to configure!!!

Well let me begin saying that iam utterly new to configuring!!! but i have a bit of understanding of things!! I have a UTstarcom router the bsnl guy came and installed in a way where i use a dialer to get connected. and when i check the tcp/ip settings it is set to acquire ip from the server as well as the DNS but in the paper given to me which contains the user name and the password does contains the entries for DNS and defalult gateway.

The thing is I want to set up the router so that i can set a static ip for my machine and also the DNS entries... i searched on the net i did find a few explainations but i dont understand the consecpt of PVC but i understood that that the PVC 0 has to be 0-35 which and a pppoe connection is used. I am able to get into the settings with the admin account however i really dont know to do exactly to configure the router in a way that i need to set static ips for my two comps actually. and also autoconnect to the net.... by the way i have two computers but this configuration is done in a way that only one can connect to the internet ........... Please help

    I would really be greatful!!!!

Give your modem model number here for detailed instructions.
    Start/Network/ Local area network /properties/
    select TCP/IP properties
Obtain IP address automatically. in both computers.
In DNS enter 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222.

In IE type to access 192.168.1.1 admin password admin usually.
Go to WAN page. Unselect "Bridged" and select PPP/PPPoE or PPPoA
The you have to enter UserID without @ bsnl.in and password.
Select "always On " Idle time 0
Enable DHCP and give range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.20.
    Enable NAT.
Save and reboot . wait for two or three minutes.
Check at least one computer is getting connected to internet.!!
as soon as you switch on the system/modem.
    If it works,
remove the r RJ45 cable from computer
and connect to Internet port of router
and use two Rj45 to each computer from LAN1 and Lan2 port.
Give feed back. Best of Luck.

    @lunatichead
    Congrats.
Can you connect the two computers to internet and surf ?
Depending on ISP PVC will change . example MTNL 0_32 Airtel 1 _32 for BSNL 0_35. etc
This is an important entry. Leave alone all entries in the modem/router
you do not understand so long internet works properly. ( same case here !)
Keep a record of working modem entries ( or take screen shots ) for future use.
Your reply should contain max info asked for, by the contributers to the thread.
Now I don't know whether you connected the two computers properly.
or your Utstar modem/router model number.
