Thread: Can Someone help me in sharing internet

hi all,

Can someone help me so that i can share the internet among 3 pcs.

I dont want to use windows internet connection sharing as well as proxy server technique.

i am having 3 pc's on which is on same floor, 1 switch & ADSL 502T Router

Please suggest is there is any way...

Let us know if you are able to connect and are able to browse net from all the 3 pc's

ya i can able to browse the internet from all pc's but not simultaneously...

if some one has logged in then for second pc it gives error username/password invalid on the domain.

i m using bridged wan connection..

pls suggest..

dont use bridge mode, configure your modem into PPPoE mode and enter your username and password there in the modem itself then you will be able to browse net in multiple machines simultaneously

3 PC's, that's cool.

In my case we have a 6 port router connected to an external modem sharing to 4 pc's. So far we didn't encounter such problem yet.

Is your problem solved. My BSNL connection is also set in bridge mode and BSNL people said that in ppoe connection, i will face phone line busy error. So i have to use modem in bridge only. obviously, now I cant use more than one pc simultaneously. please reply if you are successful.

hi all,

i changed wan connection from bridge to pppoe & i was only able to bypass the login...as modem was dialing the username /password,so the previous login error is not coming.

now,from one pc i m able to connect but from second pc the page cannot be opened error is coming..

pls reply.

What type of error are you getting, how are you connected with the modem i.e. with a LAN cable or through wi-fi and make sure DHCP server is enabled from the BSNL modem

i connected 3 pc's to ethernet switch then switch to the ADSL router(D-Link 502T it includes modem,router,Splitter & 1 ethernet port) DHCP is also enabled so that ip's are getting automatically assigned

the current scenario is suppose 2 pc's are ON, if i try to surf from any machine it is happening but if i try from 2nd machiene then i m not able to surf as 'Page cannot be displayed' error is coming

is any other setting to be done..

That is absolutely rubbish. In fact it is the exact opposite around.

Also tell whether you are automatically connected to net and are able to browse from a pc or not
