I can use my modem as soon as I connect to the computer. My modem connects automatically when I switch on the supply. And I am using a UT300R2U modem.

It toally depends on which mode you use whether Bridge mode or PPPoE mode in which if you are using the later mode then you will be connected automatically as soon as the PC is booted up.

I was given the nokia siemens c2110 crap by BSNL. It was a total crapm and then i brought the Dlink 802C. the functions are amazing and can be easily configured for PPpoe and bridge mode both.

Am Using UT300R2U modem....my speed is very sloww(25-30KBps) in rapidshare, megaupload etc...
b4 i used to have MT841 modem...with dat i used to get an amazing speeds of 180-200KBps
Does speed depends on modem ??

I also use D-LINK GLB 802C modem. But sometimes my download speed becomes 25Kbps in rapidshare in the free hours which means speed does'nt depend on modem.

    @fahad.abyss
    1. See this link and check your settings ( for GLB502T) should be similar. dlink.in/GLB502T_Guide_modified/BSNL_PPPoE.html wrong link. Please ignore.
correct links given below ; 0920AM
    http://www.dlink.co.in/GLB502T_Guide_modified/index.htm
    http://www.dlink.co.in/GLB502T_Guide...BSNL_PPPoE.htm

    2. Even in Dlink website/s no user manual or quick start guide available.

    3.For BSNL vpi vci 0 and 35.

    4. If you are a newbie see this ( Annexure)for detailed steps . almost similar for all modems.
    Pages will look different.

Para two: web site not loading. contact Dlink India on select your region south/west/north etc.
toll free phone number. for assistance.

    With my experiance,
This newer model is plaugued with same problems like over-heating like GLB-502T

and no new fix is available!

this router ,when works is giving good speeds(237KB/Sec in my H500 connection) .but it needs a good power supply(Switched mode power adaptor).also ,the instability -frequent disconnection occurs when power supply is not good(fluctuating etc).
