I think its better than Other ISPs in India. But dont think its the best ISP on the planet or whatsoever....

BSNL is good.

PROS

+ Better and Flexiable Plans
+ Good Speed
+ Less Charges

CONS

- Customer Care is Waste, good only to get ur ID's and Passwords thats it.
- If critical problems then will take much time to get it solved.
- Customers should possess a quality known as "PATIENCE".

their customer care is a s**t stuff but i think bsnl is good for money..

Its ok as long as you dont face any issues or apply for a plan change. If something happens then you betcha you will think of cancelling the service and go for a different service provider before you get the issue resolved. They act like they are doing us a favor, which is actually their duty and the reason for what they are gettin paid for.. Funny isn't it.. On the verge of becoming a super power.. Aren't we??.

Update: I got 3rd time lucky with Tata Indicom.

Had to take it cuz there was no other connection in the area.

Now, extremely happy with the Airtel's customer support.

i get about 200-220 kBps downloading speeds and btw 2-8 i can download about 5 to 6 movies

Its a very individual luck I would say in BSNL, though there are many problems its NU service is probably only of its kind. Service also depends on factors, if you are living in sparsely populated areas speeds are awesome, otherwise also they are good. BSNL only needs to solve ONE THING, which most of you don't mention. That is the knowledge of its employees, especially those who deal in BB. If that one thing is done more than 70% problems can be easily solved, including excess billing and non servicing of complaints!!!

Hello friends,
I am using BSNL's BB service for sometimes like 2 years and at times faced difficulties in more than a few occassions; ultimately all were solved either with help of local exchange personnel or from other sources eg.'india BB forum'
and one thing as everyone opined here : I also find CC ridiculously useless.
Finally I am happy with BSNL-BB service with it's cost-effectiveness.
