Its ok as BSNL sucks when it comes to troubleshooting and it totally depends on how well the exchange of your area is functioning

You are right.
In my local exchange there is only one person(S.D.E) who works on broadband. And he doing a good job by himself. Most problem will be fixed in 1 or 2 days max.

Its 2 months now... no prob so far... speed best in india... presence in far flung areas too... Usage portal serves good for limited connection plans...

BSNL has to still work on its PR image.

I have been using it (Home 750 + plan) for the past 18months..
Its been smooth as long as the broadband is working fine.
But if there's any problem..we need to rectify ourselves as there is no proper customer care or help desk facilities..
In last 18 months i had problem 4-5 times....Now its fine..I have no problem.
There were times where i had to call the customer care more than 50 times..

When compared to the problems of other ISP (Airtel, reliance, tata indicom,etc)..BSNL is ok...

I prefer BSNL broadband as its the cheap & best.
Best bcoz..they deliver the speed which opt for...

As everyone said before, it is best in India when it works. When it does not, even God cannot help you.

I used sify..very good customer support atleast in my area... Sometimes the download speed used to skyrocket at night... from 32kbps to 600 kbps... :angel:

used You telecome... very good for online gaming.. just average for downloads... bad support...

Applied 2 times for tata indicom... once my cheque was returned coz the sales executive didn't actually know bout the non-availability of connection in my area while taking the cheque..phew..

2nd time(in a new area) sales executive ran away with Rs. 750 which i gave in advance for the installation... complained bout it at tata indicom's office 3-4 times with the receipt.. time flied and I had to leave the city without my money... :24:

Got BSNL connection within 3 days of applying :14:... No advance charges... lol... I know its BSNL... but still i'm little apprehensive now in adv. payments... No trouble so far... Getting best performance...

I think BSNL is leader in India. I am sure that BSNL is far much better then other **** like sify and hathway. To be very honest here its better to stay without internet but don't subscribe for sify

If u forget about customer care service ,,,,BSNL BB is the best in India...and its ok when it works,,

bsnl braodband service is fairly good enough,i am using it for last 6 month,i didn't find any difficulty.

Seems good by what all is posted here....

In my opinion BSNL is good. and regarding C. C. I can say that these people can not help properly. They answerd me only one quiry in the last 5 months. But our local exchange service is very very very good. Friends! you can not believe, during office hours. They are solving our problems withing 1/2 - 2 hours. especially for broadband service.

I am facing lot of problems since the last 6 months. Gonna disconnect both my bsnl connections and landlines in a few days.

Migrating to Airtel which is scheduled to launch in a week (they are busy laying their cable)

guys bsnl is not tht bad but its not too gud as airtel.....i guess its like whn u hv a choice between rel n bsnl u go for bsnl....

I'm using BSNL BB over past 3+ years.... Never have failed with the connections.... You can rely on this. I got this connection as the early bird offer...

I think its better than Other ISPs in India. But dont think its the best ISP on the planet or whatsoever....

BSNL is good.

PROS

+ Better and Flexiable Plans
+ Good Speed
+ Less Charges

CONS

- Customer Care is Waste, good only to get ur ID's and Passwords thats it.
- If critical problems then will take much time to get it solved.
- Customers should possess a quality known as "PATIENCE".

their customer care is a s**t stuff but i think bsnl is good for money..
