Default conecting 2 wireless computers with a sl2_141

    Hi all
I have bsnlBB with wireless SL2_141. I have a laptop wi fi and a desktop with wi fi usb adapter. I can connect internet on both machines independently but cant simultaneously. Also I want to see files /folders of other machine (as in peer to peer conection) together with net surfing. I cant surf net on 2 at atime. further i cant surf net when in peer to peer networking with other. Can any one help me to setup netwerk of the 3 machines i.e. modem(SL2_141,laptop,desktop) so that i can surf net n other computers harddisks simultaneously.

IN TCP/IP properties check obtain IP address automatically.
How do you connect ? If using a dialer change over to "Always On" connection.Give feedback.

No probs just make sure you are connected to the modem through Wi-Fi or through LAN cable and then do the following

1.) Open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 and enter admin as username and password
2.) Go to WAN options and then edit the first connection named something as VCI/VPI 0-35
3.) Then click next and select PPPoE option and select encapsulation as LLC/SNAP and click next
4.) Then enter your username and password in the box provided through which you connect to the internet.
5.) Click next and and enter service name as pppoe_0_35 and click next
    6.) Save and Reboot

    you're done!

    @player
I can connect internet on both machines independently
he is already connecting to Internet, but not both computers at the same time.

    @purushh
see this web site. Confirm you can surf the Internet with both computers.
SL2_141 (Type-B) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
Para two :To share files and folders , is called Internet Connection Sharing.
Confirm the OS in your computers.
Try program LogmeIn. to access other's computers in the net
    https://secure.logmein.com/home.asp?...ogmein&lang=en

( they should also download this program)

    Default Thanks for the help

Hi thanks u all for the help specially to player n guidence.
I got all the setting as I wanted.
But Still one thing confuse me and that is the connection with the bsnl broadband is now monitered by the modem and i dont have control of it nor I cannt see how much upstream n downstrem is done while surfing. It may exceed my surfing limits which i can know only from bsnl usage login which itself use much bandwith if checked so frequently. I tried to disconect from wifi network but it immediately reconnects again autoamtically though I have not cheked the box to connect whenever in range box in the settings. further this will also disconect my home network also.
Can I control connecting bb to bsnl by any way since many application directly connect to internet such as updates which I do not want to do. In the modem setting there is only one thing--- connection on demand and i have set it to 1 min.

You can control your PC/laptop wi-fi settings, and in there uncheck the option "connect to any available network"

    that i have done .
The actual problem now is the bb connection with bsnl is not in my control. It is controled by the modem n i do not know when it is connected n how much data is transfeering. Further many times web page does not open may be due to some error in bb connection which is not showing to my computers i.e. error 678, error 691 and so on. Untill n unless I know the problem it is difficut to diagnosis.
Further a new problem is started in my desktop. Whenever i open haed disk of my network drive i.e. laptop , hp printer set up programme file start up to install the priner and since it found the printer installed closes auto after check up. This happen once every time after establishing connection and opening hard disk, and repeats when other partition is opened. ie. i have 4 partitions hence when i click a partion to open it runs and only once in a session.

Default USB wireless network adopter siemens sl2_141 adsl modem

    Hi All,

I have BSNL BB Connection at home. What would be the best USB wirless net work adapter ( Make and MODEL no.) to use on a desktop PC for connecting with Siemens ADSL2 modem type SL2-141. I intend to use the same network adapter for I.P TV which BSNL is offering at a later date.

    Regards,

    AB

IPTV will not work in Wifi mode in your desktop or laptop ( rechecking )

Cost wise a PCI Wireless lan card
will cost about Rs 1000/= ( netgear )
    Netgear - WG311T 108 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
You have to replace existing ethernet card in your desktop.
or you can add this in a spare PCI slot.
    USB card:
