    Default Need Help

I am using internet on my desktop and wifi laptop simultaneously, but now i want to add one more desktop through LAN via modem.

The TCP/ICP settings in the computer which I am already using are:
    IP address: 192.168.1.2
    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.1

Now can somebody tell me the settings for a new desktop so that I can use two desktops simultaneously.

    Thanks in advance.

Mention modem and wif router models. ( Lan1 to 4 port available ? confirm )
Only LAn port for computer1 and USB port for computer desktop 2.
You have to enable DHCP in your modem.
    Give range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.20 ( 192.168.1.2 usually reserved for USB )
In 1st and 2nd computer TCP/IP select Obtain IP address automatically.
Test 2nd computer with LANRj45 cable first. Then try USB port

    Enter/use DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

@anand2360375, it is unwise to create a forum account that matches your e-mail id.

Your mailbox will get flooded with spams. Send a request to admin to change your id.

Actually there is a wealth of knowledge in "BB How to" section.

I sometimes do not understand why people turn of DHCP service in their modem/routers and assign static IP to their PCs.

    - Enable DHCP in router
    - Set TCP/IP properties to automatic

I have replied this many times and said so here: How to set TCP/IP settings.
