Default new broadband connection (500 C) : intial plan is Business UL 15000

    Hello,

I got a new broadband connection y'day - I have applied for 500C plan in bangalore. Indiranagar.
When I checked in the bbservice portal the plan is business 15000 UL.

When I called 1600 they told that initial 15 days the usage is free and you need to apply and get it changed later to 500 C.

I am worried, does any body have any idea about this.

I called the local exchange many times and they do not pick up the phone.

I hope that they do not charge me exorbitant amount.

    Please help.

    Rgds

I suggest you send them a mail and get a written reply to keep as a proof... and also do you have proof of your plan you applied for?

I have the application receipt which says that I have applied for 500C

Where can I write an email to get the proof?

    Cool

Same problem with me. I got the connection 2 weeks back. When I logged into dataone using portal id, it showed me Business 15000 UL.
I have inquired the exchange JTO, he said, the first 15 days are trial period, and no need to worry. After the 15days get over, the plan will automatically changes to the one we opted.

I was worried initially and made many calls to customer care, exchange, I personally visited the exchange also. But they said, I need to wait till the first bill comes. This even annoyed me, because after I get a bill of 15K+, to rectify it, again I have to roam around exchange. But fortunately JTO explained me over the phone and told not to worry.

I will suggest all such users not to download merrily during this "trial" period. Better be safe than sorry later.
