Default How much can i still use?

    Hi,
I am using BSNL home 500 Plan. The download limit is 2.5GB. My data usage in BSNL is shown as 577009 KB under column "Chargable Units (KB)
Excluding Night Unlimited". Does this mean i have crossed the limit Please clarify ...

577009 divided by 1024 = approx 576 MB . you can download approx 1.9GB free,
Download Data one quick usage finder from http://sunish.net.
If you are a Dataone Quick Usage Finder (DQUF) user wanting to test the new beta version of DQUF, you can download it from http://sunish.net/dqufbeta The new version supports the new combo plans and multiple account checking and of course the new portal at http://bbservice.bsnl.in

Your current IP address is 59.95.xx.xx

If your IP address starts with 117.x.x.x then you will need the beta to check bsnl broadband usage.

essbebes, thanks for your response. But BSNL portal says 577009 KB under column "Chargable Units (KB) Excluding Night Unlimited" It says KB *Kilo Bytes* and not Kilo Bits.

And 1 GB = 1000 KB so 577009 KB = 577.09 GB !!!!! Isnt this correct Or does BSNL mean here means Bits and not bytes. Thanks

    reply:
Sorry. I don't know. I am using BSNL DataOne for past two years.
That is why i referred a link DQUF to calculate/see your usage and amount.
However in future I will check in this web site the calculations and reply.
    Again regret for the mistake/s
    KB to MB Converter

    Para two :
As per your calculation till date 577GB used. You have to pay additional APPROXIMATELY
    575 x Rs 800= Rs 4, 60,000 ( Rupees Four Lakhs and sixty thousand ). Extra usage 1 MB 80 paise.

    1 GB = 1024 MB = 1024*1024 KB !!

so u hav used only approxx 565 MB out of your 2.5 GB (approx 2500 MB).

1 GB = 1000 MB and not 1000 KB . That computes to 0.5 GB of usage. Sorry for the confusion.

    577009 KB = (577009 / (1024 * 1024)) GB= 0.55027866363525390625 GB

    2.5 - 0.6 = 1.9 GB of usage still left

What is going on with the calculations?

    1 KB = 1024 byyes
    1 MB = 1024 KB
    1 GB = 1024 MB

Your chargeable usage says 577009 KB which means that you have used up 563.48 MB. Your usage limit is 2.5 GB or 2560 MB. So you have nearly 2 GB at your disposal.

In the last post you got it correct.
