Thread: problem with zxdsl 531B modem connecting to my WLAN enabled phone(Nokia E71)

i dont knw what the problem is.....i can access internet when iam connecting thru my desktop pc.......but my phone says no wlan found....wht to do????

Presume your desk top has a wireless LAN adaptor and you are connecting in WiFI mode.

dat doesnt solves my problem dude.......even my lappy doesnt recognize my network.......damit....wht to do .........m badly pissed off........anything other to do in its setting or wht???

Earlier you mentioned only a Desktop.
Hope your "puppy"( desktop) and lappy have wireless LAN cards.
1. presume you can connect to internet both, from LANport of modem to Ethernet port/s.
2. Start/All programs/ accessories/Communications/ Wireless Network Connection wizard.
Follow instructions.
3. Start/Network/ show all connections .
Does a Wireless network appear ?
4. NOKIA phone later.
5. Feedback.

dude m not at all concerned to lappy so far......coz i mostly gotta use net from mah phone......n not thru lappy for d simple reason its my bro's which hardly come in mah hands hehhe.......n as far d settings u were talking abt i checked those settings in my dektop (pc)....it asks to create new wi-fi connection.......n nthng else........so wots next.......plz help me connecting mah phone.....m in doubt whether mah wi-fifunction actually works or not........coz mah phone doesnt detects it n neither do d lappy.......

Could you create one ?
If YES,
1. Then remove the LAN RJ45 cable from modem/router to the computer.
2. Test you can connect to Internet in WIFI mode. confirm.

4.Check up whether your Desktop has a Wireless LAN card ( PCI type), with a small antenna
5. Imagine ZXdsl as Wireless transmitter. ( or Base of a Cordless)
Your laptop and desktop are wireless receivers. (or cordless telephone/s)
If both work we can proceed to check Nokia phone. ( which requires a software also )
