Default Wireless usb adapters for desktop

    Hi All,

How do i configure the netgear wireless usb adapter for my desktop....to connect to bsnl broadband thru netgear wireless modem/router.

Specially for securing the network, do i need to enter some pwd or mac address at the adapter level, (along with what is done at router level)

    Lightbulb easy...

    1. Find out authentication details of your router: it is either WEP/WPA/WPA2
(go to 192.168.1.1 from another wire(d/less) connection and find it somewhere!)
    2. Connect USB Wifi Adapter to USB port (preferably usb 2.0)
    3. Double click the connection in your system tray
    4. Click search for networks
    5. Click your network and click connect
    6. Enter the authentication details you found in step 1
    7. done

note: the details are somewhat like this... im using a desktop right now so cant recollect all the correct button texts/other texts.

    bye
