    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.
Actually I was little bit confused. one of my friend in coimatore is using it and he told the bsnl people have told the range as 100 mtrs. secondly when I checked with the local BSNL off in chennai they told 100 mtrs and the engineer who came to my house from bsnl told 10-15 mtrs.

The Range of D-Link ASDL modem is 100 mtrs. but the modem supplied by BSNL like UT WA3002G4 is 30 mtrs. i already cheked the range of this modem in my office & it is working with in 30 mts area.

Signal strength depends upon natural obstructions - walls and partitions. Wireless routers were primarily designed for western homes where internal walls are made from wood. In the concrete scenario the situation alters and strength decreases greatly.

Secondly, there is a confusion between meters and feet. Most home wireless routers work for 100 ft or 30 meters radius and no onstructions are assumed.
