Phone junction ===>> Rj11 cable===>>. ADSL splitter LINE port
ADSL splitter =====PHONE port ====RJ11 cable ALL Phones ( repeat all phones )
( for phone extensions in other rooms use additional ADSl splitter/s)
Adsl splitter=====Modem port ===Rj11 cable to Modem.
    Mention modem model.

Find the page in your modem, which shows
    SNR/ATTN/Mod selected /Line speed etc.
    Post screen shot link here.
usually will be ADSL under Statistics in the Menu. ( see pic 2 if yours same type )

Image is fine but I cannot see it from office as such sites are blocked. You can just post the text:

    SNR Margin (Downstream and Upstream):
    Line Attenuation (Downstream and Upstream):

And also suggest you to read this thread: SNR Margin and Line Attenuation - What do they mean?

    Here you go :

    SNR Margin (dB): 29.2 28.8
    Attenuation (dB): 37.5 19.2
    Output Power (dBm): 11.9 13.7
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 8620 1119
    Rate (Kbps): 2046 509

Line attenuation is slightly high. Could be a port problem at the exchange - I had similar issue recently. Read this: http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...ions-bsnl.html (My interactions with BSNL)

In Advanced setup select DSL settings.
In mod keep only GDMT T413 and Annex M
    uncheck other options. ( adsl2 adsl2+ etc)
    Keep enable bitswap
Check again. post same modem page screenshot. snr/attn etc.

essbebe : What you told me I did but consequences was worse than before,
this time it did not even get stable. So I have to set it to default. LOL

When I removed the line from splitter for almost 2 minutes, and reattached the line again and it got stable.

Now what do you guys say?

sorry for late reply, by the way.

    best regards,

Glad your problem solved. Port problem was at your end !
    Para two :
    3.@essbebe
In mod keep only GDMT T413 and Annex M etc.
    @spectre
essbebe : What you told me I did but consequences was worse than before, . ( Probable reason step 2 done later!)
Now try again at a later date when your connection becomes unstable.
    4. Please report snr attn data with present setup. Mod selected. ADSL2+
    For comparison. after your 'repair'

Para three : stimulated in my modem for adsl2+ and GDMT
working fine in both. ( same identical settings/menu almost like one version of Ut300R2U). You had confirmed that.
Usually for an unstable connection GDMT/AnnexM with lower line speed is chosen.
Adsl2, or Adsl2+ if selected and , if unstable are unchecked .

Para four: Any suggestion or advice, if not correct , or not advisable,
posted by the members here, will be corrected IMMEDIATELY , by other members / admin or moderators. I should know better, and careful in my post/s, after about 5300 posts in another forum and Level 6 ( more than 10,000 points in Yahoo Answers only computers/internet)

Well Well Well , I never said you guided me wrong essebebe and I never said
my problem has been solved.I just tried to tell you that I had to disconnect
and connect several times and wait in frustration to get line connected.

This you can't call solution, right? You still have to guide me.

My connection gets too long to be stable for two days and sometimes ,
just sometime it fails when it's raining.

Now if I disconnect it then I have to do the same job what I did to connect it.One more thing ,When my pc is shut down ,it gets stable quickly and
as I start my pc ,it fails dramatically.

So ,in short please tell me what I am to do now?

    best regards,
    Spectre

HI i am a jto in bsnl and i have joined this forum just now .The most common reason for dsl going off is poor line parameters. First check if your internal connections are ok. The main line must directly go into 'LINE' port of the splitter. There should not be any tapping for parallel connections between the main line and splitter.

No , there is no tapping for parallel connection between main line and splitter.

any further reply will be helpful to understand the problem.
