    Your line is faulty. Get it changed. Also pay some baksheeh to the linesman when this is done. A friendly neighbourhood linesman is a good friend to have.

    Also read my own story: http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...ions-bsnl.html (My interactions with BSNL)

    @subra007.
    I did not ask for the screenshots! .
    Disable in 7.jpg BSNL does not have this facility. ( or ignore, if
    frequent disconnections are not noticed)
    In 3.jpg change MTU to 1492 default for PPPoE.
    some other settings does not concern us now. ( also do not understand them !)
    Rest seem Ok. Confirm your Internet connection is fine.
    Para two;
    It is better not to load more links, than absolutely neccessary, for trouble shooting. so that we don't over load the servers. Also people surfing will also see the pictures if not logged in and consume bandwidth. ( try it)
    Anyway hope others find the C2110 modem setting pages (pictures) useful.
    Thanks for the trouble you have taken.

    Now this thread and your post can be viewed anytime, by others searching for details of C2110 . I have book marked this thread. .

    Ul750 speed upto or 256Kbps 32KB/sec max possible.

    a) Your SNR Margin (38.5, 16 db) are great.
    b) Your line attenuation (10 db, 6.5 db) is also excellent

    You have not specified whether you are facing problems. Are you facing problems?

    Please read the many guides in the Broadband How to section.

    You should get the UoMs (Unit of Measure) correct. KB means kilobytes whereas kb means kilobits.

    Your ISP speed is 256 kbps and (not KBPS). But everywhere when you download the speed is displayed in KB/s or KBPS. 256 kbps = 32 KB/s. If you are getting this speed or more then you should be satisfied.

    Also note that ISPs promise whatever speed within their own circuit only, i.e., your promised speed is the speed that is achieved from your router to the ISP remote computer (where you log in), in your case BSNL's DSLAM and BRAS.

    If your download manager is showing 150 KBPS, I wish you to confirm whether it is kbps or KB/s as per above definition.

    If it is 150 KB/s then you are getting more speed than promised. From the BSNL portal check your plan details. If it shows UL750 and you are being billed as per UL750, you should be delighted because you are getting extra speed for nothing. Enjoy your (ulimited) downloads at high speeds and paying lower.

    If the speed is 150 kbps, then check the speed on Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test. Speedtest will always show results in kbps and not KB/s. Ideally you should be getting speeds close to 220+ kbps.

    1 If your written application says UL750, BSNL has to
    write off the bill as it is their mistake. How about other users?
    How you concluded it is Home 250 ? can be Home 500 also !
    2.Also they have not given you the 14 digit portal ID and password.
    3.Now you know the importance of checking up usage at BSNL portal.
    Talk to the exchange people again.
    It is possible all ( four of you)are connected to the same high speed server.
