Rep Power: 2  | so u are saying that u cant surf right? so try changing the dns to open dns, Primary: 208.67.222.222 Secondary: 208.67.220.220 and as far as opening of files are concerned their attribute are corrupted in registry so re install the application(office,adobe ...)

Rep Power: 2 | since you have some hdd access problem etc, it could be either some virus or spyware on your pc. or a DNS problem.. setting up or changing to opendns servers could help.. as mentioned above..
