I am a dataone user on home500 plan


From the last 6 days i am getting download speed of about only 2121B/sec

What's the prob guys ...


Buffering is on par to dial up connection ... I am fed up yaar wat to do ?? .. pls help

1272kbps means (1272/8)=159KBps while dialup is 56kbps or (56/8)=7KBps.in your modem settings in overview/status tab check SNR & Line Attn values.SNR values must be above 10 & Line Attn values should be below 35.also check that line mode is G.Dmt & not ADSL2/2+.

The speed you have given here is it from torrents site/s ?

or 2 KB/sec ?

Give clear and correct information.
1272kb/sec : 1272/8= 158KB/sec say 150KBx60 9MB file can be downloaded in one minute.

ma modem type is UT300R2U guys ...

This morning i was downloading song from songs.pk


To ma surprise the speed never rose up from 2121 B/sec and took minutes to download one song of 3 mb guys ... So went in to check wat my speed is from speedtest.net and posted the result here ...

try downloading stuff from another site and post results..

your values are fine.try downloading from some other sites to check download speeds.download some trial software from softpedia or windows DirextX 9c update from microsoft site using download manager like flashget.

do you really mean that 1272 kbps is slow speed

yaar 1272 kBps is from the speed test !!



As said I downloaded directx upgradation from Softpedia.com


the speed was never above 14.2 kB/s ....

seems mod selected is ADSl2+

Rate (Kbps): 2048 512 .
confirm.
If so use speedtest.net server say Sydney as test site.
Change to GDMT and test again.
Whatever changes you make test at same server. ( whether reliable or not )

i did port forwarding on ma bit torrent and now the speeds have gone up to 100 kB/s... but the direct download still sux ..

pls help whats the prob .. should i format my pc
