SNR margin and other values are generally seen in the "Status" pages of the modem interface. Check for the "ADSL status" link.
thats really correct in most of the type 4 modems there are 2 common options to check status
1. Router Status (under that you can see DSL Status and Internet Status)
2. Connection Stauts
Mention the model number of the TYPE IV modem/wifi router.
If WA3002G4 see the sticky thread NO 5.....link for screen shots. by Chennai BSNL.
Unless you have a problem like intermittent connection etc ) no need to check these and alter the settings.
Mention your tariff plan & speed allowed.
Test speed at speedtest.net say Sydney server as a record.

thank u essbebe
30.3(Downstream) and 28.0 (Upstream).. is this bad???
snr and Attenuation values shud b high or low??
SNR Ratio. Should be high.
Attenuation Value: Should be minimum.
SNR Ratio is the comparison between level of a desired signal (phone signal) to the level of background noise. The higher the ratio, the less obtrusive the background noise is.
Attenuation is the gradual loss in intensity of any kind of flux through a medium (eg: phone wire)
Thanks essbebe.
is this good.if its bad tell me what to do.
Appears Ok. If any problem do post again.
Mention modem/model/make/number.
see this thread for "theory"

Distance calculation may not be perfect. Only an indication.
