About LinkBacksplease any body help me out , when i start downloading from the internet after 1 or 2 minutes the connection hangs ( i mean it goes of ) what might be the problem,

Please go the modem configuration and navigate to the 'Status' page. There will be a link called 'ADSL status' or just 'ADSL'. It will display the ADSL status including SNR Margin and Line Attenuation. Post them here.

If the internet access including modem and setting are proper,, format ur C drive and install the XP fresh,,that will solve the issueOriginally Posted by mayurclk

Are you using a download manager ?
Any Antivirus program used ?
Disable all programs not needed, showing in Taskbar.
Give your modem model details.
