Hi Friends,
Currently I have Home 250 Plan my exam will get over on 23rd October, we r getting vacation's from 24th October to 14th November. I am planning to go for Home UL 750 plan, Will i be able to get the plan from 24th - 24th November. And what will be the usage Of 1GB I will able to get till 24th October??

You can get the UL750 plan from 24th. But it cannot be guaranteed that you will get it from that day itself - one or two days here and there may result.

If the plan change happens on 24-Oct as desired, you will be charged for Home 250 from 1-Oct till 23-Oct on a prorated basis. All charges and usage limits will be pro-rated for 23 days (divide everything by 31 and multiply by 23). From 24 to 31 you will be charged Rs. 193.55. As usual service tax will be applicable on all charges.

if the plan started from 24 then wat will be the bill of tat month, means it will be 250 or 750??

I thought that I was crystal clear in my explanation. You bill will be prorated - for 1 to 23 you will be charged as per 250 plan and from 24 to 31 as per 750 plan.

You really want everything spoon fed, don't you.

Never mind. Billing is always from 1st till end of the month. If you change plan next month (midway), once again charges will be prorated the same way, except the other way round.

Normally BSNL plan change will take place only at the end of the month, for an example if you give the letter for changing the plan even on 2nd of september it will be changed only on 30th of september night 12:00 pm so its not possible to change in the middle of the month.

Ummmm. I don't think so - maybe it is regional. I had asked for change from UL900+ to Home-500C and it happed the next day.

Nope nothing is regional in BSNL since the policy is throughout the BSNL network, i am sure of this, now also i had requested for the plan change from UL1350 and waiting for the past 21 days, they told it will be done only in the end of this month.

I am in Tamilnadu circle what circle you are ? I will check with BSNL and post here, also it wont happen next day i am sure it will take atleast 15 days

BSNL normally changes tariff plans effective from 1st of following month.
You better apply for Home 750 plan change wef 1st october 2008 or 16th october and check in usage portal whether plan change is provisioned/ or normal. or effected date.

PS: The written application you give is critical and take two copies and get a receipt.. ( CC will stamp it with date ) Later if there is a huge bill for usage, A.O will consider this. You will not be informed that your plan has been changed wef so and so date. it is up to you to track it/confirm it ( no phone confirmations)

I am in Chennai circle.....in the beginning I was having 250 plan,then I made a written request to change to 900 plan (750 plan now)...
I got it changes within a week...

Hello boss, it will never happen since i have my office at Porur only i know how tough its to change the plan in Chennai, where are you located in chennai, i had given the request for my office when ichanged it took exactly the month end to change?

Which exchange you are in ? Mine is coming in Ramapuram exchange
