    Post Broadband does not prompt for password

    Hi all,

    I recently had this bsnl net working and every time i switch on my computer, the net connects automatically....does not prompt for password...i have Home 500 plan and do not want this automatic connection....

    for the time being I managing by switching of them modem...

    pls let me know how to i change the settings of modem to get the prompting for connecting to net

    You need to configure modem in bridge mode. Read the tutorials in the Broadband How to section. Mention your modem.

    simple solution.
    go to your network connection,then in your dataone icon go to properties.Then go to option.There you will find a option that "PROMPT FOR NAME AND PASSWORD...(The second one)Put a tick mark on that.Then click ok.

    To avoid automatic connection at start up go to start>all programme>>start up the delete the bsnl icon.
    Thats it.If you have any doubt then reply here.
